The 15th and Finale Bar Harbor Brass Week was held June 21-28, 2015 BHBW Faculty and select BHBW Alumni returned to Bar Harbor June 2016 for a special concert at the newly renovated, restored and recently reopened Art Deco venue, THE 1932 CRITERION THEATRE in downtown Bar Harbor, Maine. The concert of lively brass music, featuring the premier of AN ACADIAN PORTRAIT by Maine composer Terry White was a sensational success to mark the 100th anniversary of the National Parks Service and close our years as Bar Harbor Brass Week.

Bar Harbor Brass Week is an intensive educational and performance experience for select college and high school brass musicians, presented by the Mark Woolman Horner Music Education Fund. June 2015 will be the 15th and final Bar Harbor Brass Week, so if you have heard of this amazing brass camp, now is your chance to apply! A small group of high school and college/pre-professional participants are selected to form brass choirs and chamber ensembles to prepare for performances in Bar Harbor, Maine. Daily activities include rehearsals, coachings, masterclasses, private lessons and perfomances--all led by a prestigious faculty of many of the finest brass musicians and educators in the country (see Staff link in sidebar menu). Whether you are entering high school and want to simply improve your playing and get some ensemble experience, or you are planning to study music in college or choose it as your career--this camp is for you!
Bar Harbor Brass Week takes place on the campus of the College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor, Maine. Bar Harbor is one of the East Coast's most popular summer tourist destinations and lies adjacent to Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island.
