Aberdeen's European dreams are over! A heartbreaking 1-0 defeat to Strasbourg, courtesy of Martial Godo's first-half strike, has extinguished any remaining hope of the Dons progressing in the UEFA Conference League. This match was a rollercoaster of near misses and heroic saves, ultimately ending in disappointment for the home side.
The game started with Aberdeen on the front foot, their aggressive pressing style immediately putting Strasbourg's defense under pressure. Strasbourg had a golden opportunity to extend their lead when Devlin fouled Godo in the area, resulting in a penalty. But Mitov rose to the occasion, saving the penalty and keeping Aberdeen's hopes alive.
And this is the part most people miss... Despite Mitov's heroics, Aberdeen couldn't find an equalizer. The final whistle confirmed their elimination from the competition.
