Fuel prices are about to get a little friendlier! Starting next week, drivers in Portugal can expect some relief at the pumps. But here's the catch: it's not just a one-time thing.
The cost of diesel and petrol is set to drop, with diesel taking the lead as the most commonly used fuel in the country. According to the ACP, prices are projected to decrease by three cents, which will help offset the changes in fuel taxation.
When you pull up to the pump, you'll notice a difference. Regular diesel will cost approximately €1.522 per litre, while regular 95 petrol will be around €1.649 per litre. These prices are based on the averages recorded by the Directorate-General for Energy and Geology (DGEG) on Monday.
And this is where it gets interesting: next week marks the fourth consecutive week of diesel price drops and the fifth for petrol. That's right, a cumulative decrease of 11 cents for diesel and eight cents for petrol over the past few weeks.
